Bakery China is one of the world’s largest bakery shows that focuses on the complete value chain of bakery and confectionery industries.
This event is organised by China Association of Bakery and Confectionery Industry (CABCI) and Bakery China Exhibitions.
Bakery China’s 2018 show will take place at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center from 9 May to 12 May.
Professional visitors from the bakery and confectionery goods industries
With more than 200,000m² exhibition space and thousands of exhibitors, Bakery China attracts professional visitors from the bakery and confectionery industries.
The 2017 show attracted 122,284 visitors. Of these, 54% were reported as decision makers for their companies, while 13% were technicians. The visitors represented more than 105 countries worldwide.
The exhibit portfolio covers sectors such as raw materials and ingredients, cake decorations, baking equipment, processing machines, packaging solutions, and support services.
Fast-growing bakery and confectionery industries in China
China is one of the world’s largest producers of baked goods and is a fast-growing market. The country has a steady demand for foreign ingredients and equipment, which is supported by improved living standards and an increasing emphasis on food safety.
In addition, China’s Office of National Statistics has stated the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the country’s import food and additives market has been 15% over the last five years. The grocery market is also improving, with a current value of RMB48bn.
Marketing and networking opportunities at Bakery China
Bakery China offers a number of marketing and advertising opportunities before, during, and after the exhibition. These help companies gain exposure to their target audience through high-impact sponsorship and advertising.

About the organisers
CABCI is a non-profit social organisation established by a number of food processing industry manufacturers, service providers, research institutes, and trade companies. The entity also involves local industry associations in a wide range of sectors, including biscuits, bread, pastries, sweets, chocolates, frozen foods, fast foods, preserved fruits, and snacks.
CABCI spans across multiple regions, involves a wide array of agencies, and does not distinguish between ownership systems. It is an association at state level 1 and has legal entity status.
Bakery China Exhibitions is a joint venture (JV) between CABCI and the Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE). RSE JV between pharmaceutical group Sinopharm and events organiser Reed Exhibitions.
