Australian food & beverage technology manufacturer, Flavourtech was honoured to be recently featured on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Landline program.
Flavourtech is a global technology manufacturer specialising in dealcoholisation, aroma recovery, extraction and evaporation solutions for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Established in 1987, the company began with a quest to develop a solution to remove sulphur from grape juice in the wine making process. This quest quickly expanded due to the versatility of their flagship product, the Spinning Cone Column (SCC), which is now used around the world for extraction of natural flavours as well as dealcoholisation of wine.
Landline is an Australian television program covering stories from Australia’s rural and regional heartland. Headquartered in the regional New South Wales city of Griffith, Flavourtech’s success story was recently featured with a focus on their history and how the company came about.
Reporter Kerry Staight and the Landline team visited Flavourtech’s factory in Griffith as well as several of their customers across Australia’s southern states. Application of their unique technologies are wide ranging with the episode featuring a winery, an instant coffee factory and a major dairy company. The company now has over 100 installations in the coffee industry alone and exports to 60 countries around the world – a true Australian success story!
