At this year’s Gulfood exhibition in Dubai the Emsland Group will be represented by its fully-owned subsidiary Mecklenburger Kartoffelveredlung, located in Hagenow. At Food ingredients Europe last year Mecklenburger Kartoffelveredlung was integrated within the booth of Emsland Group; this year at Gulfood it will be the other way around.

From 23 to 27 February, visitors to the Dubai World Trade Center can visit both companies at booth S2-B41 in Hall Shk Saeed 2.

Mecklenburger Kartoffelveredlung is specialized in the production and sale of tailor-made solutions for food retailing, communal catering and private label business. Dry potato products like potato flakes, soups and ready meals are manufactured in Germany at the highest level. The company is IFS certified and on request individual parts can be expanded to a Halal and Kosher certification.

The Emsland Group will present, among others, the new Embalance®-range. These are special potato flakes that are produced using a newly developed and patented physical production process without the use of additives. Alongside the production of potato-based ‘health and clean label products’, the developed process has already been used successfully for the production of dehydrated peas.

In addition, new Empure® products, with which the Emsland Group expands its clean label position, will be presented at the event. These more stable clean label starches can be used in foods that need a heating process during production and are then, for example, stored in cold or refrigerated conditions (such as sauces for ready meals, semi-preserved foods or seasoning dressings).
