BLUE Software has hired a new chief revenue officer to lead its sales team.

Ruben Castano will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing enterprise customers worldwide.

Ruben comes to BLUE with more than 20 years of proven business experience in the business-to-business (B2B) and software application industries. Prior to joining BLUE Software, Ruben honed his strategic sales and management skills at 1WorldSync, GS1 US, Sterling Commerce, Parametric Technology Corporation, and Automatic Data Processing.

Ruben is well known in the industry and has a track record of facilitating long-term business relationships with both customers and industry organisations, having had the opportunity to work closely with leading multi-national organisations in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) / general merchandise, food service, hardlines and healthcare industries throughout his career.

The chief executive officer (CEO) of BLUE Software Ali Moosani said: "As an industry veteran, Ruben brings a unique perspective and skill set to BLUE Software.

Ruben holds a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Texas in San Antonio, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
