Orbital welding is the preferred welding option for the food, dairy and beverage process industries in Australia and New Zealand. Fabricae Stainless offers orbital welding solutions to assist with your organisations’s process pipe work and stainless-steel sheet metal fabrication requirements.
Orbital welding has many advantages ensuring clients achieve industry standards. Welds can be performed repeatedly without weld variability, inconsistencies, errors or defects. Welds are smooth and even, uniform and exact. The possibility of defects such as porosity, contamination and leaks are minimised.
Fabricae Stainless currently has three orbital welders (Orbimatics 2012) that are used on-site and at our premises. More orbital welders are available on request. Clients can engage orbital welders and a dedicated operator (tradesperson) via a labour agreement or any project can include costing for this service subject to client requirements.
Current orbital welders are typically used:
- Where access space restrictions limit the size of the welding device
- Where a tube or pipe to be welded cannot be rotated or is not practical
- Welding of CIP skids
- Welding diaphragm valves
- Welding diaphragm pressure gauges
- Tanks sheet metal fabrication
- Welding fittings
- Welding process pipework
Fabricae Stainless provides procedures and welding certification to clients confirming all orbital welds have been effectively completed.
