PROVA® is a French family-owned mid-sized company (ETI), founded in 1946, specializing in the production of flavors and sweet brown extracts (vanilla, cocoa, coffee, caramel, nuts, etc.) for clients worldwide, including the food industry and culinary professionals (pastry chefs, restaurateurs).
Passionate about taste, the heart of our business, we have more than 75 years of expertise in extraction and are now one of the world’s leading players in vanilla and cocoa extraction. Our ambition is to “become the natural choice for brown extracts and flavors in the hearts and minds of our customers”.

PROVA ® has been a family-owned business for three generations. At the head of this company, Muriel ACAT cultivates the spirit of audacity and ambition inherited from her father and grandparents.
Joining the company in 1993 as Sales and Marketing Manager, she has since progressed to leadership roles. She is passionate about vanilla, PROVA’s core business, and actively participates in the sourcing strategy. Additionally, she is deeply involved in sustainable development issues and supports the company’s corporate project.
Muriel is committed to promoting the role of women in corporate leadership (PROVA ® is certified as a Women Owned Business) and defends sustainable and fair agriculture, a significant concern for PROVA ®, one of the world’s largest vanilla purchasers.
An international company
PROVA® is now present in more than 70 countries around the world. International sales represent more than 75% of the company’s turnover, with 10 subsidiaries across all five continents.
Our international expansion is driven by a commitment to being closer to our customers, understanding their tastes and expectations. “We don’t expect the same vanilla, caramel, or pistachio flavor in Thailand, Turkey, or France”, explains Muriel ACAT.
Our development is booming in the Asia-Pacific region. A new production site will be operational in June 2024 in the Bangkok region of Thailand.
These sites are also aligned with the principles of reducing our carbon footprint as part of our internal CSR policy.

Since 1946, PROVA has been a story of people and vanilla. Our existing Care & Act program is the result of our commitment to a taste of excellence and respect for others which have instinctively guided our company.
As a recognized player in the vanilla extract industry, PROVA® is actively working towards the development of a more responsible and ethical supply chain in Madagascar.
Leading with the first certified organic range of vanilla extracts since 1996, PROVA® started in 2021 a new initiative to accompany its vanilla offering. By virtue of PROVA’s expertise, ties to the farmers, and knowledge of local issues, the company has partnered with Promabio, a committed player in the Sava region, to deploy its new program for Sustainable Vanilla.
This program is designed around five bold objectives, measured by fifty indicators that ensure the quality and traceability of all its actions: perpetuating and improving traditional knowledge, rewarding farmers and their families with fair compensation, ensuring complete transparency, preserving the environment by adopting sustainable practices, and supporting local communities.
