Del Sol Food acquires US baked-goods maker John Wm. Macy’s

John Wm. Macy's will continue operations in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.

Del Sol Food Company, the manufacturer of Briannas salad dressings, has acquired US baked goods manufacturer John Wm. Macy’s Bakery.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

John Wm. Macy’s products are distributed throughout the US and Canada. The baked goods maker will continue operations in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.

“Ever since our breakthrough order from a flagship Manhattan specialty store almost 40 years ago, we’ve been thrilled to provide our products to an enthusiastic and growing audience. This exciting partnership with Del Sol Foods will enable the company to follow this passion for years to come,” John Wm. Macy president John Macy said.

John Wm. Macy’s product range comprises different flavours of cheese sticks, cheese crisps, and grilled crostini toasts. A three pack of 113g ‘Original cheddar cheese sticks’ is listed on the company’s website at $14.99. A 624g bag of ‘Asiago & cheddar cheese crisps’ are also on sale for $14.99.

Del Sol Food is headquartered in Brenham in Texas and manufactures its products in the same town. The company is the producer of the brand Briannas, which is a line of salad dressings sold in all 50 states. The company sells dressings, marinades and croutons under the Briannas brand.
