Danone has confirmed the Greek yoghurts it has developed in tandem with Starbucks in the US will launch into the country's grocery retail channel next month.
The two companies announced two years ago they would team up to manufacture and market a range of products.
A line of smoothies, parfaits and yoghurts have been developed, all sold under the Evolution Fresh brand.
Demand for Greek yoghurt is still increasing but growth has slowed after the recent boom in sales. Danone has a range of Greek yoghurt products on sale in the US, including Oikos Triple Zero, a protein-heavy line focused at men.
Officials at Danone's US arm had not returned a request for comment on why the company has decided to launch these yoghurts in a slowing market and how they differ from the rest of the portfolio.
