Chuck Eggert, co-founder of US-based Pacific Foods, has launched a new venture, Wild Rose Foods.
The new company will be focused on bringing to market products rooted in Oregon and has already launched Lulubelle’s Creamery, a dairy brand featuring a line of local, certified organic milk.

By GlobalDataEggert’s Pacific Foods, which makes natural and organic broths, soups, plant-based beverages and meals, was sold to US food giant Campbell Soup Co. in 2017.
Eggert said of the brand launch: “We think there’s room for a local dairy committed to organic practices with a focus on flavour and innovation. Our goal is to make products as accessible as possible using milk from our own cows bottled at our own creamery. We’re creating a new model for dairy to show what’s possible with the latest technology, a commitment to animal care and restorative practices.”
In addition to its creamery and organic milk, Wild Rose Foods also raises egg-laying hens and poultry marketed as Gwendolyn’s Organic Eggs and Aurora Valley Organic.
Campbell Soup said it acquired Pacific Foods to increase exposure to the “faster-growing health and well-being categories” in the US having paid US$700,000 for the natural food business.
