Vietnamese dairy group Vinamilk has said that the opening of a new facility in Vietnam will further its aim of becoming one of the world’s top 50 dairy companies.
The company has invested US$110m a new 20 hectares dairy facility in Binh Duong Province. The site will have an annual capacity of 400m litres in the first phase.
“Vinamilk’s mission is to provide world-class quality milk products at an affordable price. This new plant has laid solid foundation for Vinamilk to achieve our goals to become one of the world’s top 50 dairies with over $3bn revenues by 2017,” Mai Kiu Liên, Vinamilk’s chairwoman and general director, said.
The facility was supplied with Tetra Pak technologies. “The Vietnam milk factory is by far the most advanced plant in automation and integration that Tetra Pak has ever built,” said Bert Jan Post, MD of Tetra Pak Vietnam.
