Anglo-Dutch consumer goods conglomerate Unilever will invest US$15m to build a goods distribution centre in Vietnam.

The company, which entered Vietnam in 1995, currently employs more than 5,500 staff in five manufacturing locations.


According to reports by AFX, the 10-hectare site located near Ho Chi Minh City will be the largest in the country.


“Once finished in November the centre with a loading capacity of 2,000 tons per day… will be on a level with the leading distribution centres of developed countries in the region,” Unilever reportedly said.
