US retail giant Wal-Mart is to offer free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings at its US Wal-Mart stores and Sam’s Club pharmacies for two days in February.

The screenings, which will be on offer at all US Wal-Mart stores on 19 February and Sam’s Club pharmacies on 18 February, are part of a Healthy Heart Community Event to raise awareness about heart disease.


The company said it will also offer samples of heart-healthy products, and educational information, in an effort to help shoppers identify, manage, and reduce the risk factors for heart disease.
