Upscale, casual dining chain The Cheesecake Factory Inc has opened a new outlet in Boston, Massachusetts, and recorded strong initial sales volumes.
Located in The Prudential Center, the 12,000ft² restaurant seats 350.
“We are very excited to bring our third Cheesecake Factory restaurant to the Boston metro market,” said David Overton, chairman and CEO.
“Together with the continuing strong openings of our Bellevue, Washington, and San Antonio, Texas, restaurants earlier this year, our new restaurant opening plan is off to an excellent start for fiscal 2002.”
The Calabasas Hills, California-based company also expects to report positive same-store sales comparisons for the fiscal quarter ended 2 April 2002. This will represent the 39th consecutive quarter of positive same-store sales comparisons for the company’s restaurants.
