Pepsico’s Quaker cereal subsidiary has announced the introduction of new Life Vanilla Yogurt Crunch, combining, it said, the wholesome goodness of classic Life cereal with the grown-up taste of yogurt.

The new cereal is made with whole grain Quaker Oats and features crunchy oat clusters covered with vanilla flavoured yogurt. New Life Vanilla Yogurt Crunch is low-fat, delivers nine essential vitamins and minerals and provides a good source of calcium and fibre (4 grams of fibre per serving).
“Adults love the taste of yogurt and with the introduction of Life Vanilla Yogurt Crunch, we’re marrying the latest taste trend with a classic wholesome cereal,” said Todd Magazine, president of Quaker Foods. “We’re excited to continue expanding the appeal of Life to adults as well as children. Life is a great option for the entire family.”
Life Vanilla Yogurt Crunch joins three existing Life Cereal varieties: Life, Cinnamon Life and Honey Graham Life, all of which are made with whole grain oats and recognized by the Food and Drug Administration to help reduce the risk of heart disease. Nutrition experts agree that both kids and adults need to fit more whole grains and fibre into the diet. Currently, more than 90% of Americans fail to consume the recommended amount of whole grains or fibre.
“As one of the most recognized brands in the cereal aisle, Life Cereal has been whole grain ever since we launched it more than 40 years ago — long before the recent whole grain boom driven by this year’s Dietary Guidelines,” said Magazine. “For baby boomers who have enjoyed Life for years, the cereal’s heart health benefit is more important to them now than ever before.”
