Poore Brothers, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNAK), a rapidly growing salted snack manufacturer, today announced that the Company has teamed with T.G.I. Friday’s®, a worldwide leader in the casual dining industry, to launch an innovative new line of T.G.I. Friday’s brand salted snacks in supermarkets, mass merchandisers and club stores beginning in the summer of 2000.

Under terms of an exclusive, multi-year licensing agreement, the two companies plan to introduce three products, T.G.I. Friday’s(TM) Potato Skins, Fire Bites(TM) and Quesadillas. The products will be manufactured at Poore Brothers recently acquired Indiana production facility, utilizing its significant capacity and unique manufacturing capabilities.

Mr. Eric J. Kufel, Poore Brothers President and CEO commented, “The introduction of T.G.I. Friday’s brand salted snacks is a major initiative for the Company with an ideal strategic partner. As the nationally recognized innovator of many popular foods, particularly appetizers such as loaded potato skins, T.G.I. Friday’s is a perfect complement to the Company’s unique ability to produce differentiated salted snacks.”

“Teaming with T.G.I. Friday’s also provides the Company with significant new product support. T.G.I. Friday’s contributes instant national brand recognition for the products, a proven track record of success with other licensed retail food and beverage products, national advertising and promotion support for restaurants and other licensed retail products, an outstanding reputation for innovative, high quality products and a fun personality,” continued Mr. Kufel.

Other T.G.I. Friday’s brand licensed products include T.G.I. Friday’s brand frozen snacks and dips, which were launched in the fourth quarter of 1998 by Anchor Foods, the leading manufacturer of breaded frozen appetizers in the world, and T.G.I. Friday’s spirit-based beverages, which have been sold nationwide by UDV North America for nearly a decade. T.G.I. Friday’s brand frozen snacks and dips have already achieved distribution in approximately 60% of the supermarkets nationwide and after only one year in distribution are the second best selling brand of frozen snacks and dips in those stores.

Ms. Janna Markle, Director of Brand Licensing for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, parent of T.G.I. Friday’s restaurants commented, “We want to provide our guests with innovative retail food products that allow them to ‘take the fun home’ and we believe we accomplished our goal by combining T.G.I. Friday’s outstanding reputation for quality with Poore Brothers expertise in manufacturing and marketing unique, consumer preferred salted snacks.”
