The US National Food Processors Association (NFPA) has announced that John R. Cady, president and CEO, is to retire from the NFPA in early 2005.
Cady has served as the association’s chief executive since April 1989. Earlier this year, he notified the NFPA’s officers of his intention to retire, and has been working with the officers on a succession plan.
Cady will continue to serve as the NFPA’s president and CEO during the selection process for his successor and until his retirement.
The NFPA represents the US$500bn food and beverage industry in the US and worldwide. NFPA members produce processed and packaged fruit, vegetables, and grain products, meat, poultry, and seafood products, snacks, drinks and juices, or provide supplies and services to food manufacturers.
