Fastfood company McDonalds is introducing chicken sandwiches to its restaurants in Michigan on 28 July 2005.
Customers will be able to choose from a trio of top-quality chicken sandwiches: the Premium Chicken Classic, the Premium Chicken Ranch BLT and the Premium Chicken Club, the company said.
“We are very excited to introduce our new Premium Chicken Sandwich to the public,” said John Betts, vice president/general manager of the McDonald’s Michigan region. “This further broadens our menu selection and emphasizes our commitment to providing an array of healthy menu choices. These Premium Chicken Sandwiches join our most recent premium line of products that include Premium Salads and the New Premium Roast Coffee.”
Each of the three Premium Chicken Sandwiches has its own unique identity and taste. All three sandwiches are available with grilled or crispy chicken and are served on an artisan honey wheat roll. The Premium Chicken Classic features chicken, lettuce, tomato and light mayonnaise. The Premium Chicken Ranch BLT sandwich starts with grilled or crispy chicken and is combined with three strips of bacon, lettuce, tomato and a zesty ranch dressing. The Premium Chicken Club sandwich is garnished with bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and light mayonnaise.
McDonald’s is the leader in servings of chicken strips and chicken sandwiches in the U.S. foodservice industry. McDonald’s sells more than 600 million pounds of chicken each year including products such as Chicken Selects and McNuggets.
The more than 530 McDonald’s restaurants in Michigan employ more than 20,000 men and women.
