Trident Seafoods Corporation and Ocean Beauty Seafoods have reportedly abandoned plans for Trident to acquire Ocean’s seafood processing assets.

The companies could not agree on a deal, originally announced in March, which would have created Alaska’s largest salmon processing company.
All Trident and Ocean processing plants will continue separate operations, according to the local reports.
Seattle-based Trident did not respond to requests from just-food for comment this afternoon (4 May 2006).
