Supervalu has remained silent after a lawsuit was launched accusing the US retailer of colluding with C&S Wholesale Grocers to divide up the regions in which they operate to avoid competing against one another.

Local retailer D&G Inc., which operates Gary’s Foods supermarket in Mount Vernon, Iowa, filed the suit in a federal court in Madison, Wisconsin.
“As a matter of policy, Supervalu does not comment on pending legal matters,” a spokesperson for the company told just-food.
