US food manufacturer Ralcrop has recalled a number of products that contain peanut butter linked to the salmonella outbreak that has swept the US.
Ralcorp has recalled frozen bakery products manufactured for Wal-Mart and Food Lion, as well as products manufactured under the Lofthouse, Chuck’s and Pastries Plus Gourmet Cookie brands.
Wal-Mart’s own-label products included in the recall are: Wal-Mart Bakery Peanut Butter Cookie, Wal-Mart Bakery Harvest Peanut Butter Fudge No-Bake, Wal-Mart Bakery Peanut Butter Fudge No-Bake and Wal-Mart Bakery Peanut Butter Fudge No-Bake.
Ralcorp also issued a voluntary recall of Food Lion Bake Shop brand Peanut Butter Cookies; Lofthouse brand peanut butter cookies, peanut butter no-bake cookies and peanut butter fudge no-bake cookies; Parco Foods’ Chuck’s Chunky food service brand peanut butter cookies; and Pastries Plus gourmet cookies.
The recalled products contain peanut butter supplied by Peanut Corporation of America, which is the subject of an investigation concerning recent the recent salmonella outbreak.
