The Federal Trade Commission has approved the transaction, which was agreed in November, when Ralcorp struck a deal with Kraft Foods.
Private-label firm Ralcorp has also received clearance from Canada’s Competition Bureau for the US$2.6bn deal, which is expected to be completed by the middle of the year.
