Cincinnati based Pierre Foods has ended the employment of Joseph Meyers, vice president of finance.

In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission Pierre Foods said CFO Cynthia Hughes would assume his responsibilities as principal accounting officer.
No reason for Meyers’ departure was provided and Pierre Foods was unavailable for comment as just-food went to press.
Pierre Foods produced cooked meat products and baked goods.
