US baby and children’s food producer The Nest Collective has bought Plum Organics, a maker of frozen, organic baby food and toddler meals.
The deal, announced yesterday (20 February), will see the company continue to fulfil its mission to create healthy, organic and nutritional products for babies and kids in the US, the company said.
The Nest Collective said it plans to build “a family of leading brands” through additional acquisitions and internal innovation.
“With a focus on the needs of children and parents, Plum Organics felt like a natural extension of our greater portfolio,” said Sheryl O’Loughlin, CEO of The Nest Collective. “Now, with our support, Plum Organics can stay true to its core mission and accelerate its growth through cutting edge innovation and the business synergies of The Nest Collective.”
With the acquisition, Plum Organics becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Nest Collective.
In addition to Plum Organics, Nest recently launched a line of healthy kids food under Revolution Foods, a brand with a focus on organic lunchbox snacks and meals for children.
