Mead Johnson has appointed Kimberly Casiano and Anna Catalano to its board of directors.

Casiano and Catalano will stand for election at the US baby-food group’s annual meeting on 11 May.

The addition of the two nominees would increase the size of the board to nine members, the firm said today (31 March).

Casiano was previously president and COO of Casiano Communications for 15 years. Catalano had a 20-year career in the energy industry, serving in various marketing, branding and business development roles including president of the Amoco Orient Oil Co. in China and group vice president marketing for BP plc.

“We are pleased and excited to be adding two such distinguished businesswomen to the Mead Johnson board of directors,” said Jim Cornelius, chairman.

The firm yesterday announced it is to set up a pediatric nutrition venture to serve the Gulf with Saudi dairy firm Almarai.
