US retailer Kroger has promoted the senior vice president of sales and marketing of its Food 4 Less unit to president of the division.

Bryan Kaltenbach began his career with Alpha Beta Markets in 1973, which later merged with Food 4 Less in 1991.

“Bryan brings extensive retail experience to his new position, and his leadership will be a tremendous asset to our team members and our Food 4 Less customers,” said Rodney McMullen, president and COO of Kroger.

Kaltenbach has held a number of positions within the company, including store director, district manager. He will take up the role with immediate effect.
