Kraft Foods has said the split of the company in two, creating a North American grocery company and a global snacks manufacturer, will take place in October.
The establishment of US grocery business Kraft Foods Group and international snacks company Mondelez International will formally take place on 1 October.
The firm yesterday (2 August) revealed the date as it appointed a board for the two companies following the split.
As previously announced, Rosenfeld will be chairman and CEO of Mondelez International. John Cahill will be executive chairman of the North American grocery company. Tony Vernon, currently executive VP and president of Kraft Foods North America, will be CEO.
Kraft, meanwhile, has appointed Tracey Belcourt as executive VP of strategy for Mondelez.
Belcourt, who joins Kraft in September, has been a partner at global management consultancy firm Bain & Co. in Toronto since 1999.
She will lead the strategy function and mergers and acquisition activities for Mondelez and report to Rosenfeld.
