Kraft Pizza Company, a division of Kraft Foods, has expanded its frozen pizza manufacturing plant in Little Chute, Wisconsin.
The extension will add 100,000 square feet to the plant. The investment will see the addition of a new pizza crust bakery line and assembly line, enabling a significant increase in production capacity.
Highlighting the importance of the Wisconsin plant, Kraft Pizza president Tim Cofer said: “We make almost all of our Kraft Pizza Company brands at our plants in Little Chute and Medford.”
Construction is expected to begin immediately and it is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. Equipment installation and production start-up of the new lines is scheduled for April 2009.
The company said it anticipates increasing its workforce by around 300 employees.
