Roundy’s, a regional grocery chain in the US, has appointed Gregory Josefowicz to its board of directors.
Josefowicz has perviously served as chairman and CEO of book retailer Borders as well as CEO of the Jewel/Osco division of American Stores Company until its merger with Albertsons. After the merger, he became president of Albertsons’ stores in the Midwest.
He currently serves on the boards of PetSmart, United States Cellular Corp, Tops Markets and True Value Company. He also previously served as director of Winn-Dixie Stores and Spartan Stores.
“We are excited to have Greg join the board and welcome his in-depth experience and perspective on the food retail industry,” said Roundy’s chairman, president and CEO Robert Mariano. “Greg will also provide us with relevant public company and corporate governance insight as a former public company executive and active director.”
