US restaurant retailer Jamba has signed a licensing deal with apple supplier Bare Fruit to launch a line of Jamba-branded fruit products.
The two companies will create a line of dried fruit chips, available in three flavours: Fuji Apple, Granny Smith Apple, and Mango. These items will have no artificial flavours or preservatives, no artificial colours, no high fructose corn syrup, zero grams of trans fat and will meet guidelines for kosher and gluten-free diets, the company said.
“Our focus continues to be on developing differentiated Jamba-branded products that make it convenient and easy for health-conscious consumers to lead healthier and more active lives,” Julie Washington, senior vice president and general manager of consumer products at Jamba Juice Co., said yesterday (18 October).
The products are expected to launch in grocery, convenience, and other retail outlets by the end of December.
Jamba is a holding company and through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jamba Juice Co., owns and franchises Jamba Juice stores. Jamba Juice has 746 locations in the US consisting of 436 franchise-operated stores, 310 company-owned stores and six international stores.
