Breyers Yogurt Co. has struck a deal to source its DHA omega-3 from Martek Biosciences Corp., the two companies said yesterday (26 April).

Breyers, a subsidiary of organic food group Healthy Food Holdings, will use Martek its supplier for the next 15 years. DHA omega-3 helps brain, eye and cardiovascular health throughout life.
“DHA is an ingredient that has been shown to provide important brain, eye and heart health benefits across the lifecycle and we are looking forward to making this nutrient more available to US families,” said Healthy Food Holdings president and CEO Chuck Marcy.
