US pasta and pesto maker Armanino Foods of Distinction has reported “record” first-half revenue and earnings as a promotional drive helped sales.
Armanino said its net earnings increased 14.7% to US$1.8m in the six months to the end of June. Net sales reached $15m, up 8%.
Record second-quarter sales and profits helped drive the first-half results. “We are very pleased with the upward momentum of our financial performance in the second quarter and year-to-date as the company’s sales and profitability reached record breaking levels,” president and CEO Edmond Pera said. “Our second-quarter domestic sales, fueled by higher than normal promotional activities and their associated expenses, were solid.”
