
Stonewall Kitchen, the US baking mixes-to-condiments supplier, is reportedly weighing up starting a process to sell the business.
Citing unnamed sources, The Wall Street Journal said Stonewall Kitchen, backed by private-equity firm Centre Partners, has hired Robert W. Baird & Co. to look at a sale.
Centre Partners invested in Stonewall Kitchen in 2014, without disclosing the extent of its investment or shareholding in the company.
Stonewall Kitchen was established in 1991, initially producing jams and jellies before expanding into sauces, condiments, crackers and baking mixes. The company also owns the Legal Sea Foods brand of sauces and condiments.
In November 2018, Stonewall Kitchen snapped up Napa Valley Naturals brand with the purchase of parent company Spruce Naturals.
Eleven months earlier, Stonewall Kitchen acquired local pickled vegetable business Tillen Farms for an undisclosed sum.
