Upmarket Swiss chocolate maker Lindt & Sprungli has launched a range of “super-premium” baking chocolate products in the US.


The launch comes through Lindt’s local arm, Ghirardelli, and the company believes the range will meet the growing taste among US consumers for high-end ingredients.


“Chocolate is the number one selling dessert flavour in America,” said Fabrizio Parini, senior vice president of marketing for Ghirardelli. “Home bakers deserve the finest quality, whether it’s for a favourite cookie recipe, or a special soufflé. Our new Ghirardelli Gourmet Baking line offers consumers the highest-quality baking chocolate while maintaining ease of use for home bakers who are looking for unparalleled results.”


The products are available in three cocoa percentages – 58%, 72% and 100% – and are on sale at US$3.99-4.49.
