German dairy firm Ehrmann has launched a “European-style” yoghurt in the US.
The All Natural Bavarian Lowfat yoghurt is now available in New England and some New York areas, Ehrmann said on Tuesday (27 September).
The product is available in five flavours, including blackberry-pomegranate, peach and strawberry. Each yoghurt contains 150 calories or less and has seven grams of protein and 1.5 grams of total fat per serving. The yoghurts are also free of artificial preservatives, additives, colours or sweeteners, the company said.
“We are very pleased to now produce delicious Ehrmann yoghurts fresh in Vermont and are excited to bring Bavaria’s Finest Yogurt to consumers in the US,” Ehrmann USA president and CEO Harald Bellm said.
The product is available in Hannaford and Price Chopper outlets in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, upstate New York and Vermont. The company said the low-fat yoghurt will also be sold in retail stores include Shaw’s and Tops.
