German dairy group Ehrmann has created a Greek yoghurt brand, Mixim, for the US market.

Mixim will roll out this month, initially in Arizona, California and Nevada, as Ehrmann looks to tap into booming demand for Greek yoghurt in the country.

The company said the product’s three compartments – one for yoghurt, plus two flavours – would help it stand out from the competition.

Chris Solly, CEO of Ehrmann’s US arm, said: “Our heart-shaped container with its three separate chambers is the first difference you’ll notice. Then you peel back the lid and see that our creamy Greek fat-free yogurt comes with two perfectly paired toppings that can be added a little at a time or all at once.

The yoghurts will come in six flavours: Cherry and Chocolate Curls; Raspberry with Dark and White Chocolate Curls Take-me-away tropical: Mango Pineapple with Coconut & Almonds; Honey with Coconut & Almonds Fruity-crunchy: Strawberries with Granola; Blackberry Pomegranate with Granola & Dried Fruits.

Mixim retails for $1.89 and will be available at Bashas, Safeway and Albertsons in the three states.
