US pesto and pasta firm Armanino Foods of Distinction saw its earnings climb in the third quarter driven by the strength of its domestic business.
Earnings in the three months to the end of September were up 13.3% to US$893.2m. Pre-tax profit rose 14.1% to $1.46bn.
Net sales amounted to $7.39bn, an increase of 4% on the prior year period.
CEO Edmond Pera said the strength of its domestic business drove the company’s overall “record breaking” sales and profits.
“We are cautiously optimistic that this positive trend will continue for the rest of this year. While we saw a strong uptick in our international sales late in the third quarter, it is too early to tell how strategies that we have been working on will impact fourth quarter sales internationally.”
Pera said the company will be introducing four new product offerings in the fourth quarter.
