Manufacturer of shelf-stable seafood Chicken of the Sea International has launched tuna and salmon in peel-and-eat cups in order to meet the growing demand for health, convenience and value, the company said.


“Trends indicate that people are looking for healthy products that meet their busy lifestyles and can be consumed on-the-go,” said John Sawyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Chicken of the Sea. “With the obesity crisis, there is also an increased focus on portion control – our new tuna and salmon cups are perfect for addressing both issues.”


The wild caught tuna and salmon used to manufacture Chicken of the Sea branded products is a good sauce of omega-3 and protein, is low in fat and calories, and the cups provide a solution for those wanting healthy and convenient food options, Sawyer said.
