Nestle plans to invest over UAH200m (US$26.5m) in Ukraine with the expansion of its JSC Volynholding production facilities near the Ukrainian town of Volyn.

The investment would make the enterprise one of the biggest food producers in Ukraine and the Eastern Europe. The main brand produced at the facility is Torchin sauce.

“Ukraine is the only country where Nestle starts a new factory from scratch for the last 15-20 years. Putting into operation new production facilities enables the company to retain a dominant position in the market of mayonnaise and ketchup sauces,” Gennady Radchenko, Nestle’s director of corporate relations in Ukraine and Moldova, said.
