UK confectioner and snack maker Zetar has entered into a licensing agreement with Unilever to manufacture and sell Marmite nuts.
The deal, announced this morning (13 August), will see Zetar produce Marmite nuts through its natural snacks division, trading as Humdinger. The agreement will take effect from 1 October.
Zetar said the licensing agreement is directly in line with its strategy to focus on growing its range of higher margin branded products.
The confectioner previously manufactured Marmite nuts for sale by Unilever. A spokesperson for Zetar told just-food it is now the full license holder for the product and will manufacture, market and sell the product.
