UK coffee and tea retailer Whittard of Chelsea is piloting a new service providing its tea and coffee range in office workplaces.
‘Whittard at Work’ was launched several weeks ago and aims to improve the quality of the tea and coffee consumed by office staff. Whittard makes a limited range of its products available in-office, and then bills the host company for the amount consumed.
Whittard chief executive Richard Rose said: “We feel that we can distil the shop down to its basics and put it in the workplace. The per cup cost is considerably cheaper than the traditional vending machine, and the range and quality is much better.”
The move is intended to leverage the huge potential presented by office workers who traditionally consume several cups of hot drinks per day.
