UK snack company Walkers Crisps has signed a 10-year deal to sponsor the new stadium of beleaguered football club Leicester City.

Walkers, which has used Leicester-born footballer Gary Lineker in its long running advertising campaign, will lend its name to the £35m stadium, which is due to open in August. It will be named the Walkers Bowl.

Leicester football club is currently at the bottom of the Premiership and facing relegation to the Nationwide League shares at the end of the season.
