The company is launching four- and eight-pack formats that will be available at a lower price point, the company said.

The move is a clear reflection of the tough economic environment in the UK, as consumers look for products at lower entry price points.

It comes at a time when competition in the stock category is stepping up, with the recent launch of Bisto into stock-pots by Premier Foods plc.
