Leading UK grocery chain Tesco is to open hundreds of new Express convenience stores.

Stores under the Express format are located at Tesco petrol stations and currently number 78. It is planned that some of the new stores will be built as standalone outfits not integrated with petrol stations, however, reported the Independent newspaper.
