Tesco has announced the appointment of Matt Atkinson as group digital and marketing officer.

The UK’s largest retailer said yesterday (6 June) that Atkinson will join  from Evans Hunt Scott, where he is CEO. EHS has worked with Tesco on marketing its Clubcard in the UK since 1995.

In recent years, Atkinson has also taken on responsibility for EHS’ international digital business.

“Matt has worked closely with us for many years and brings a wealth of experience to help us with our strategic objective to ‘Be a creator of highly valued brands’. He brings a depth of experience of leading marketing projects for large international brands, including Barclays, Johnnie Walker and Volvo,” said Tesco deputy CEO and chief marketing officer Tim Mason.
