Sainsbury’s has remained coy on reports that it plans to roll out its Fresh Kitchen sandwich chain.
Following Financial Times reports yesterday (27 February) that the retailer has up to 200 sites mooted to roll out the chain, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson told just-food that it is “far too early to be talking about expansion plans”.
The retailer opened its first Fresh Kitchen just over a month ago on Fleet Street in London.
The stores feature a canteen-style cafe with a menu including hot chicken baguettes, salads and wraps.
