R&R Ice Cream has signed a license agreement for a range of ‘free from’ frozen desserts that featured on television programme Dragon’s Den.
Kirsty Henshaw, a 24-year-old entrepreneur behind the Worthenshaw’s Freedom brand, is one of the youngest entrants to receive investment from the show.
The range of “healthy” frozen desserts recipes, designed by 24-year old entrepreneur Kirsty Henshaw, are “free from added sugar and common intolerances”, the firm said today (9 August).
R&R will be responsible for production, sales and national distribution of the range.
Mike Fraine, sales director at R&R said: “From the outset, we understood that this product was a unique concept. Kirsty has worked tirelessly to develop a range of frozen desserts that not only satisfies an increasing consumer demand for food intolerance suitable food products, but also delivers on taste and quality.”
The range will be available in UK supermarkets from September.
