The recall of houmous produced by food manufacturer Bakkavor for Marks & Spencer’s has been extended to include own brand houmous produced by the company for various UK retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Somerfield and the Co-op.
Last week, M&S own brand, flavoured and topped houmous produced by Bakkavor was recalled after safety tests detected salmonella in two products. The recall has now been extended to include all private label houmous produced by the food company for retailers. All date codes up to the 28 February are affected.
Bakkavor is advising consumers to return products to the store at which it was purchased for a full refund.
