International food ingredients-maker PureCircle has announced three appointments to its board, including a ex-General Biscuits executive.


Olivier Maes, currently managing director of Belgium-based biscuit and cereal manufacturer, General Biscuits Belgie, joins the board with immediate effect.


Aslan Tomov, who formerly worked in the private investment industry, is also added to the board as an executive director responsible for the creation of strategic supply partnerships, management of special innovation projects and company operations.


Also joining the board is John Slosar who has worked with the Swire Group of Companies since 1980 and, from 1998 to mid-2007, he was managing director of Swire Beverages.


PureCircle recently announced its intention to float on AIM, the appointment of Paul Selway-Swift as chairman of the group and a new chief financial officer.
