Pringles is launching a new bagged snack range in a bid to tap into the growing premium crisp market.
Pringles Select are “smaller and rounder”, the company said today (11 August) and are bagged in 150g flat-bottom packs.
The new crisp will be available from September in six flavours; Italian Cheese with a hint of Garlic, Thai Sweet Chilli, Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Spicy Szechuan BBQ, Sundried Tomato with Basil and Paprika.
“Pringles Rice Infusions took the crisps and snacks market by storm in July 2007 delivering over 45% of NPD sales for the category and in February 2008, Pringles launched into the huge single serve market with Pocket Pack and Rice Infusions Bite Size,” said Paul Lettice, trade communications manager at P&G.
The launch will be supported by a media campaign including TV, print advertising, online, PR and sampling.
Pringles Select are available in 150g bags, with an RRP of GBP1.48 (US$2.22).
