Stuart Rose, chief executive of UK food and clothing retailer Marks and Spencer, has admitted the company has been slow in taking advantage of the potential of the Internet.

However, Rose said the company was now considering ways to expand its online operations, and sees particular potential for selling its premium food online, reported The Guardian.

“In my opinion, we can do better on the food side,” Rose was quoted by the newspaper as saying. The only grocery products the company currently sells online are gift items such as wine and hampers.
